September 3rd, 2013 – Grand Rapids, Michigan – Midwest chemical distributor, Aal Chem, has recently entered into a new partnership with Korean manufacturer CQV – Creation of Quality Value. CQV is the leader in pearlescent pigment manufacturing and effect pigment technology.
CQV produces pearl luster pigments from natural mica and synthetic mica. Pearl pigments are strongly utilized in the industrial, cosmetic and automotive industries, in applications such as wall paper, artificial leather, inks, flooring, plastic, powder coatings, lipsticks and other color-related cosmetics, as well as paints, including exterior, automotive, and refinish paints.

High luster and clarity is apparent with the natural and synthetic mica products, while the glass flake provides good spark and transparency. Alumina, which is used in automotive industry, offers pastel shading with high milky color.
CQV and Aal Chem will have a booth present at this fall’s plastic show, Retec®, presented by The Color and Appearance Division of the Society of Plastic Engineers. The show takes place in Baltimore, Maryland, September 22nd-24th.
